Manager, IT Support, and Webmaster | NJ Rock Gym | Fairfield, NJ
At NJRG I am responsible for repairs, upgrades and refurbishing computer equipment. I have designed and created the website and website content for the facility ( as well as the sister facility Garden State Rocks ( using a WordPress platform permitting easier management of content for the business. When building the site, I ensured all forms of media were properly tagged, organized, and displayed across all devices and viewports. The development includes the ability to make continuous revisions to site content to address business operations during the pandemic. The scheduling page on the website included configuration and implementation of an online booking system using Rock Gym Pro. The sister facility website and scheduling system was configured remotely using Teamviewer. Other features on the website, such as online membership and punch pass sales, were configured through the Rock Gym Pro desktop software and integrated into the website. Both websites’ servers were configured to automatically back up both websites on a bidiurnal basis to cloud and external hard drive. Employee training, in-person and remote, was conducted regarding the use and content management of the site and underlying programs. To see the end to end goal, I provided SEO services, managed the social media (Instagram/Facebook), Google Business, and Yelp platforms, and targeted specific industry related keywords across the website. In addition, I scheduled private climbing lessons, birthday parties and other events in coordination with instructor availability.  I also worked as a rock climbing instructor, educating customers on proper safety precautions and how to properly improve within the field of climbing. I was in charge of creating climbs to meet difficulty, ergonomic and aesthetic requirements providing an environment that is safe, challenging and fun.
